Arc Raiders is the newest title from Embark Studios, and it's one that has attracted players who never thought they'd try an extraction shooter.

While many extraction shooters share the same common elements with one another, there are some aspects that Arc Raiders does differently.
Expeditions are one of these ways, as they're the games 'wipes' as we often refer to them in titles such as Escape From Tarkov. However, in Arc Raiders players will be incentivized to proceed with their expeditions, as you'll be rewarded with XP boosts, extra stash spaces and more.
But, missing out on these rewards is perhaps the only downside to this; as you'll still be able to queue into a match even if you don't do the expedition.
So, the choice is really up to you, and if you want the thrill of getting all of the loot again, then be prepared!
