World of Warcraft The War Within is finally here, and fans worldwide are checking out the new zones, story and hero talents.

World of Warcraft June 17 'The Legacy of Arathor' Patch Notes

The War Within has been off to a great start, and the brand new patch is going to be the final major one before the new raid.

Blizzard has posted the patch notes, which you can view below, for the patch.

New Arathi Highlands Campaign

While attention has been focused on Khaz Algar, a new enemy has risen in the Arathi Highlands, threatening to shatter the tenuous peace between Stromgarde and Hammerfall. Join Faerin, Danath, and Geya'rah as they attempt to expose a conspiracy, defuse tensions, and grapple with the legacy of Arathor. Experience this new storyline with branching viewpoints based on your character’s faction as you brave the journey ahead.

Meet with Lorewalker Cho in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, or Dornogal to experience iconic lore moments in Azeroth in the Legacy of Arathor content update. Players level 10 and above can explore three storylines carefully curated by Lorewalker Cho to learn more about Xal’atath, the Ethereals, and The Lich King. Each storyline consists of previous quests and a few new ones.

Overcharged Delves

Power up with Titan machinery to explore new depths and face new challenges within six Delves throughout Khaz Algar in the Legacy of Arathor content update. You’ll be able to amp up the challenge with a new Delve-specific affix and earn some shiny loot.

Engage with Titan enemies, more traps, and unlock traits in a new trait tree specific to Overcharged Delves. Selecting the right traits can turn the tides of traps by making them more beneficial rather than a detriment to your progress.

New UI Options: Combat Assistant and Single-Button Assistant

We’re introducing two additional options in the User Interface (UI) to help you learn a new class or relearn an alternate character. These new options are also a great way to provide additional accessibility to players who may need a little extra help.

Assisted Highlight: When enabled, Assisted Highlight will highlight the recommended next ability based on resources and the situation your character is in. Configured as an additional option to assist with damage rotation no matter which specialization you’re using, this new option is designed to help new players, players who are trying out a new specialization, or those looking for additional guidance on the abilities they should use.

Single-Button Assistant: For those who want or need a little extra help, there is also the new Single-Button Assistant. This is a single button that can be used to cast the next recommended damage dealing ability in the sequence. This assistant is designed to aid those who are looking for additional help, or for those who want to experience the story or game on a more casual basis. There is a small additional global cooldown added between abilities when using this feature. The feature will also detect when an Area of Effect (AoE) spell or multi-target ability should be used when you’re out in the world.
