Does Battlefield 6 Have Anti-Cheat? Javelin Explained

The Fall of 2025 is going to be marked with what fans are hoping is the triumphant release of Battlefield 6, which is aiming to be incredible.

Cheating is a big talking point in any FPS these days, and Battlefield 6 players are going to be wondering what the new EA anti-cheat is.

Here's what we know.

Does Battlefield 6 Have Anti-Cheat? Javelin Explained

Battlefield 6 beta has been soaring since it released, and it's easy to see why the game has gathered such incredible anticipation.

One aspect of the game that has players a bit puzzled when they initially boot up on PC is that the game requires secure boot for players. This is due to the new Javelin anti-cheat that EA has deployed for the foreseeable future for BF6.

So in short, yes, Battlefield 6 does have an anti-cheat for players, and EA has already reported that over 300,000 accounts have tried to tamper with the system so that they can use cheats.

  • Javelin has prevented 330,000 attempts to cheat or tamper with anti-cheat controls.
  • You’ve reported 44,000 instances of potential cheaters during day one and another 60,000 so far today.
  • We are already using these with our own Gameplay Integrity team to add and improve our detections for Battlefield 6. They are also working with the Battlefield Positive Play team, to actively remove those reported we confirm to be cheaters.

While there is still a chance to encounter cheaters in a game, there's some hope that these issues will be sorted fully by release.
