Final Fantasy 7 or VII is one of the most iconic gaming titles we’ve seen over the years, and with the first part of the 1997 remake coming a few years ago, we’re now entering a new era with Rebirth.
With expectations sky high for this game, fans are going to want to know how much story content they’ll need to know beforehand.
Here’s if you need to play FF7 Crisis Core Reunion beforehand.
Do You Need To Play Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core Before Rebirth?
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is one of the most anticipated games that is going to be released in 2024, and the iconic series has been adapted for modern day, with some new twists to the story.
With this said, the game is going to be released on February 29th, 2024, so just under a week, and there’s been questions regarding if you need to play the 15-20 adventure of Zack in Crisis Core before.
The answer is sort of yes, and sort of no. The events related to Crisis Core pertain to Zack Flair, who was seen towards the end of FF7 Remake, and will be a major part of Rebirth. But, the game itself doesn’t really add anything to the story in terms of Rebirth, and it more or less acts as a prequel for the events of Zack, Cloud and Sephroith.
But, you are able to play it to get a better understanding of Zack’s personality, and there are going to be some details contained throughout that we’re sure will relate to how Rebirth’s story will be played out. Square Enix have not stated that it’s nessacary to play beforehand, but if you have some time to play Rebirth releases, we don’t see any harm in doing so.
