Bethesda Is Dropping Their Game Launcher

Bethesda is one of the biggest names in modern-day gaming, and while fans of the company wait for any news pertaining to Fallout 5, they seem to be making other moves.

A new report has noted that Bethesda will be shutting down it's windows client this year.

Bethesda Is Dropping Their Game Launcher

Bethesda has produced titles such as DOOM, Fallout and the Elder Scrolls series and has risen over the years to become one of the most trusted developers.

However, they're also one of the only developers who still use their own client to load up their games, no matter if you buy it on another platform or not.

With major titles such as Starfield slated to release later this year, this is a shock move to say the least, but we could see this removal take place within the next couple of weeks/months.

Bethesda commnented the following on the shutdown.

"We’re saying goodbye to the Bethesda.net Launcher this year. Starting in early April you’ll be able to migrate your games and Wallet to your Steam account. For more details on what this process will look like, read on."
